Tamil Alphabet
Tamil is a Dravidian language spoken by the majority of people of Tamil Nadu in southwestern India, and by significant minorities in the states of Kerala, karnataka, Andra Pradesh, Telangana and the union Territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Island.
The language is spoken by approximately 69 million native speakers and 8 million secondary speakers.
Tamil script is closely related to the script of other languages in the Brahmic family, such as Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Devanagari. It is written from Left to Right and has 247 letters in which there are 12 Vowels, 18 Consonants, 216 Vowel and Consonants combination, and 1 Aayuthu ezuthu (ஃ).

The process of transliterating Tamil to English is very quick and allows unlimited characters and words to be transliterated. Moreover, when you hit the space bar, the text will be saved on your computer automatically. So, in case of a browser crash or on a subsequent visit, the previously transliterated text will be recovered.
