 How do I Install Bangla Font?
  1. First, download one of the Bangla fonts [7].
  2. Then, extract the Zipped Bangla Font using RAR Software
  3. Next, go to the Control Panel, and open the "Fonts" Folder.
  4. Finally, copy the font from the extracted folder and paste it into the "Fonts" folder.

  1. প্রথমে আপনার কম্পিউটারে বাংলা ফন্ট ডাউনলোড করুন।
  2. RAR Software ব্যবহার করে ডাউনলোড করা ফন্টটি এক্সট্রাক্ট করুন।
  3. Control Panel এ গিয়ে Font Folder খুলুন।
  4. এই Font Folder এ, এক্সট্রাক্ট করা বাংলা ফন্টটি পেস্ট বা মুভ করুন।

 How to Install Bangla Font in Apple Mac?
  1. Close any open applications. Newly installed fonts may not appear in your menu if you ignore this step [12].
  2. Drag and drop the unzipped fonts into the Fonts folder in your user's Library folder found here: /Users/Your_Username_Here/Library/Fonts [13].
    Note: As of OS Lion, the library folder is hidden from users unless you hold down the Alt/Option key whilst clicking on the "Go" menu in Finder.
Alternative Way:
  1. Double click the font file and Font Book will open a preview of the font. Click "install font" at the bottom of the preview [14].

I have added 4 new Bengali fonts including modern Nikosh variants [15]. These fonts are extensively used across Bangladesh and West Bengal for digital publishing, government documentation, and educational materials [16]. The Nikosh font family is officially endorsed by the Government of Bangladesh for digital communications and official documents [17].

Bangla Keyboard Layout

Once the Bengali font has been downloaded, use the following Bangla keyboard layout to type in Bengali [18].

The keyboard layout shown above follows the standard Probhat layout, which is the most widely used Bengali keyboard arrangement [19]. This layout has been optimised for Bengali typography and includes support for all conjunct characters, vowel marks, and punctuation specific to the Bengali script [20]. The layout is officially recognised by the Government of Bangladesh and is used in educational institutions throughout the Bengali-speaking regions [21].
